Thomas Montpellier has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2004. He holds a doctorate in law, a postgraduate degree in business law from the University of Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne and a diploma from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Strasbourg (public service section). He is a lecturer in labour law at the University of Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne and a lecturer in the DU Contentieux de la Sécurité Sociale (Social Security Litigation) at the University of Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne. He gives training courses in social law in particular within the framework of the COORACE network (Insertion par l'activité économique).
Thomas Montpellier defended his thesis at the Sorbonne in May 2021 on "the prevention of occupational risks to the test of the employer responsibility" under the direction of Arnaud Martinon. The jury was composed of Morane Keim-Bagot, Pierre-Yves Verkindt and Franck Héas.
